Families that homeschool in the USA are quite different demographically. 99% are white (non-Hispanic) or Asian (compared to 71% nationwide). 97% of parents are currently married. Thus the profile is a group of well educated, high income white parents with numerous children and a strong commitment to fundamentalist religion.
